YANTAI, Oct. 24 – The 2025 Shandong Cross-Border E-commerce Ecosystem Conference was successfully held in Yantai on October 24, jointly organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce and the Yantai Municipal People's Government. The conference aimed to gather expertise and resources to accelerate the cultivation of new drivers for foreign trade, promote high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce, and inject new momentum into the prosperity and upgrading of the province’s cross-border e-commerce ecosystem. Wang Hong, Vice Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, and Xie Pengfei, Vice Mayor of Yantai, attended and addressed the event.
During the conference, the Shandong Province Cross-Border E-commerce + Industrial Belt Innovation Development Case Collection was released. A number of renowned cross-border e-commerce brands and specialized industrial belt workstations were also awarded licenses, highlighting Shandong’s phased achievements in brand cultivation and industrial agglomeration. Among the honorees, Linyi Consmos Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. was recognized as a key cross-border e-commerce brand enterprise earmarked for cultivation in Shandong.
In her speech, Wang Hong emphasized that the Provincial Department of Commerce will fully implement the decisions and deployments of the provincial party committee and government, focusing on three key directions:
Driving innovation – deepening the integration of "cross-border e-commerce + industrial belts" and cultivating internationally renowned brands.
Strengthening the industrial ecosystem – improving logistics, talent, and other support services, and promoting the functional upgrade of overseas warehouses.
Expanding open cooperation – consolidating traditional markets while vigorously exploring emerging markets such as the Belt and Road Initiative and RCEP regions.
Du Guochen, Director of the E-Commerce Institute at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (under the Ministry of Commerce), provided an in-depth interpretation of Trends and Policies in Cross-Border E-commerce Development. He offered professional insights on seizing market opportunities, enhancing digital operation capabilities, and optimizing industrial and supply chain layouts, providing attendees with forward-looking perspectives.
In addition, representatives from globally renowned platforms, including eBay, Coupang, Yandex, and Google, addressed core challenges in brand globalization. They shared systematic solutions focusing on key areas such as market selection, traffic acquisition, localized operations, and data-driven decision-making.
